TAI CHI CHUAN
at East West Therapies

A sophisticated martial art that combines mind, Qi and body. It teaches self defence techniques while producing significant health benefits including relaxing the mind and body. The slow movements improve blood circulation, loosen the joints, spine, ribs and organs. Tension is released helping to increase the blood flow and the slow massaging of the organs keeps them healthy.
Tai Chi Chuan releases tension created by a hard days work, prevents energy from stagnating and redistributes it around the body.

Yang 24 Step Short Form
This form of Tai Chi Chuan is, as the name suggests, a shortened version of the original Old Yang 108 Step Form. The shortness of the form makes it easier to learn and because the form can be completed in 7 – 12 minutes it encourages practice on a regular basis.
The form contains all the movements required to exercise all parts of the body, shoulders, hips, waist, legs, arms etc, only repetitions being removed from the original form.
Participants will learn how to move in a gentle and relaxed manner, yet still maintaining the martial element for self defence purposes.

Tai Chi Chuan can be performed in the morning or lunch time to clear the mind in preparation for the work ahead. It can also be performed in the evening to the relax the body and mind after a days work.
Daily practice in Tai Chi Chuan is essential if one wishes to gain its’ true benefits.

The Tai Chi Chuan taught at East West Therapies is done so as part of TCMABTA
